It consists of 180 questions for 720 marks. There are four sections on the exam paper – Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Let’s see some proven techniques used by toppers to crack this exam.
Download the Answer Key
Before starting the 2023 NEET exam, it is vital to download and analyse the 2022 question paper and answer key. NTA is yet to release the answer key NEET 2022 officially. Once released, download it from the official website and go through the answers. Find explanations for each objective question and note them separately. This will provide an understanding of the syllabus topics and the type of questions asked from each subject. Also, making notes of the important topics and chapters is a good practice for better NEET preparation. Taking notes is beneficial while revising because it takes less time than going over the entire course again.
Analyse the Syllabus
After analysing the answer key, start analysing the syllabus. The NEET syllabus has not changed much over the years. The Classes 11 and 12 NCERT syllabus and the NEET-UG syllabus are nearly identical. However, students must put in more effort and refer to advanced study materials if they want to ace the NEET-UG.
Categorise each chapter under each subject based on difficulty. Also, categorise them based on their weightage. This can be obtained from the previous years’ question papers analysis. This categorising process will help while curating a study planner prior to exams. First priority can be given to easy topics with high weightage, and then move to the difficult ones.
Previous Years’ Questions
Try to solve previous years’ question papers in between your preparations. Even the leftover concepts can be easily covered while solving question papers. Also, it will give an idea of the types of questions that can be omitted. Download the 2022 NEET Question paper with answers for more clarity. Candidates will benefit from having a better understanding of the types and the difficulty level of the questions asked from various NEET sections. Maintain a handwritten notebook based on all the previous years’ questions and answers.
Practice Mocks
The mock tests simulate the feel of the real exam, which can help candidates to improve their scores. Mock exams also help candidates overcome their exam anxiety and gain confidence in the testing environment. Also, try to stick to the 200-minute duration while solving mocks. One can respond to NEET questions more quickly and accurately with their help.
Time Management
In order to ace a test, it’s critical to manage your time effectively. Therefore, students must plan ahead for how to use their time by allotting a certain amount of time for each subject. Schedule the study planner with enough time provided for each subject. One should create a schedule of study hours, free time activities, and daily chores separately. Try to stick to the planner as it will create discipline.
Furthermore, take care of the body and mind to ace the exam with perfection. A healthy body is the key to crack any highly competitive exam with ease.
